Sun Safety
Sun Safe School
Sun safety is very important to us at our school, especially living on our beautiful island of Guernsey. We have been working very hard to improve sun safety in our school and for many years we have worked towards the Sun Safe School accreditation developed by Skcin.
The Skcin accreditation allows us to do the following:
- PROTECTION: provide an environment that enables children and staff to stay safe in the sun.
- EDUCATION: learn about sun safety to increase knowledge and influence behaviour.
- COLLABORATION: work with parents, the management structure and the wider community to reinforce awareness about sun safety and skin cancer prevention.
